Cardigan Welsh Corgi Puppies

pup-date:  10-14-2009
It is with a heavy heart that I relay the fact that Cubbie, the light blue puppy, was put to sleep today at the vet.  Cubbie came here with a few problems that individually were not a huge issue, but together was too much.  The vets are certain that Cubbie's issues were a fluke event and not genetic.  Cubbie was a great joy to have in my arms for the past two and a half weeks. God sent him to me to make me a better person and was called back to Him.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

November pups are here!

Trinity River Cardigans is excited to announce that LiLi had 7 healthy pups, all black and white with brindle points.  Pups were born on November 1, 2009.  LiLi was bred to Owain.  LiLi can be found under the "Our Girls" link.  Please contact me if you are interested in either litter.  If the Good Lord is willing, and the creek's don't rise, pups would be ready to go to their new homes about 12 weeks after birth; that would be around February, 2010.  Photos are posted below Emma's litter.  Pups ARE still available in both litters.

Puppies are here!

Emma succesfully delivered 11 babies via planned C-section on Friday, Septmeber 25th, 2009.  I elected to schedule a C-section as I live so far from a vet; I just could not take the chance.  There are 7 girls and 4 boys; 5 black and white (brindle points) girls, 2 black and white (brindle points) boys, 2 brindle girls and 2 brindle boys.  Photos will be posted weekly to document their growth, hopefully!  There are still spots on the puppy list, so please contact me if you are interested in a Cardi pup.  They will be ready to go to their new homes at the end of Decemeber, 2009.

Puppy Placement

Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi pups are near and dear to our hearts and as such, we take the adoption of them very seriously. Each prospective family is required to fill out a puppy adoption application that helps me to get to know each prospective family and what pup might “fit” their family. All of the pups are socialized and handled from the get go. As such we know each and every pup almost inside out. With that in mind, please understand that it is our responsibility to place each pup according to their personality and your responses on you puppy application.

Each pup will have a puppy series of shots, will be micro-chipped, possibly neutered or spayed, well socialized and be used to routine activities. These activities include car rides, seeing livestock, meeting strangers but are not limited to these by any means. We strive to help mold well rounded pups that can go anywhere and do anything. Pups are also temperament tested according to Vollhard and are evaluated according to Pat Hastings' Puppy Puzzle. All pups will be exposed to livestock (sheep or ducks) to see if they have any interest in herding at their young age.

If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. I am always available to answer questions and be a shoulder to cry on.

EVERY puppy or dog placed by us has a 100% guarantee if for any reason you are no longer to keep you beloved pet, contact me and we will take him/her back. No questions asked. We also support Cardigan rescue and CorgiAid so if for some reason you are unable to come to me directly, please seek help from one of these two agencies and they will contact me. Our primary concern is that we always get our puppies back so they are properly and responsibly cared for!

Each puppy also is sold on a STRICT spay/neuter contract with limited AKC registration. If you have questions concerning limited registration please go to www.akc.org. Essentially, these are altered animals that can compete in ANY AKC event they are eligible for EXCEPT conformation shows. Exceptions are pups that are sold as show prospects only!

I am a performance advocate for Cardis and please feel free to ask me about any performance event that you might be interested in doing with your Cardi. I am active in herding and conformation but I have experience in obedience and agility. And as always, if I cannot answer your question, I will find the person who can!

I am an easy person to work with but my babies are of utmost importance to me. If for some reason I do not have a pup or adult to fit your family, I will refer you to another breeder that I feel is responsible and ethical in their breeding practices. Please feel free to contact me at any time!
